16.01.2008 - Press Release YNF Memorial Plaque for Billy Ward

The following Press Release was issued by the Young National Front on 16.01.2008

The Young National Front (YNF) is in the process of applying for a memorial plaque to be laid at the spot where Billy Ward was fatally stabbed.

The previous press statement surrounding the untimely death of Billy was released late last year and we have been patrolling the streets with the intention of preventing other pointless murders and attacks on people from all walks of life, all ages and all persuasions; in numbers and presence alone, we believe that we have perhaps helped prevent some crimes taking place.

Out of respect for Billy and his family we are asking Croydon Council to allow a plaque to be laid, as with the death of Stephen Lawrence.  It is important to mark the spots where these pointless alleged racist attacks have taken part.   It also teaches and reminds others, especially the young, that knives, guns, assaults on each other is pointless and can and has caused deaths.

We have as stated already approached Croydon Council and have been given information regarding the plaque and are in the stages of getting a petition and the official application has and is being processed.

If you would like more information regarding the plaque, or would like to support the application, or simply collect signatures by way of a petition form, for a plaque for Billy Ward, please either contact the YNF on 07950 474 625 or e-mail: londonnf@hotmail.com for more details.
